Ellen Grover lends natural resource expertise to the Deschutes River Conservancy
Ellen Grover, a partner in Karnopp Petersen’s tribal practice group, was recently elected to the executive committee of the Deschutes River Conservancy (DRC) and will also serve as its secretary.
Founded in the early
1990s, the DRC aims restore streamflow and improve water
quality in the Deschutes River Basin. Ellen’s
considerable experience in natural resources, land use and
water law issues will assist the organization restoring water
for instream purposes in a time when water rights are becoming
an increasingly important topic in Central Oregon.
“I am excited to be able to contribute to the restoration efforts of the DRC that aims to help address the long term water quality and quantity needs in the Deschutes River Basin” said Ellen of her appointment.
