Karnopp Petersen’s Ron Roome Appointed to Serve as OLCC Commissioner
Ron Roome was recently nominated by Governor Kulongoski and confirmed by the Legislature as Commissioner for the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC).
A partner at Karnopp
Petersen LLP, Mr. Roome will lend his civil litigation
experience to the policy-making body of the OLCC. The five
Commissioners meet monthly to make decisions on liquor
licenses, rules, contested case hearings and appointments of
liquor store agents.
“I see this as a great opportunity to serve the State of Oregon and its citizens,” said Ron Roome. “The Commissioners act as the statewide public face and governing body of the OLCC. This new position presents many exciting challenges that draw on my experience as a litigation attorney and arbitrator. I am very pleased and honored to serve as an OLCC commissioner.”
