Tami MacLeod named United Way volunteer campaign chair

As volunteer campaign chairwoman, Tami MacLeod leads the fundraising efforts for the 2009-2010 United Way of Deschutes County campaign as they reach toward a goal of $1.3 million.

Tamara MacLeodTami has been involved with the local chapter since 1996 when she began serving as a loaned executive. From 2000-2006, Tami was a member of the Board of Directors, and in 2007, she served on the Fiscal and Operations Committee, and in 2008, she was the Volunteer Campaign Vice Chair.

“I really believe in the mission of the United Way,” said Tami. “Year after year, they work hard to connect individuals who want to give with the needs of our growing community.

As a part of the 2009-2010 campaign, the United Way of Deschutes County has launched a new tagline, “Give Five. Add Five. Tell Five.” Tied to the employee giving campaign, the notion asks employees to consider the power of five - giving five dollars a week, via payroll reduction, adding five dollars a week to an existing donation and telling five friends about the program.
